Keys to the Smart City 3
Mobile Operators Can Enable
Smart Cities Services
A city consists of myriad systems and services spread across a
number of key vertical categories. The diagram below gives a flavour
of the different smart cities services that can be rolled out. A city
doesn’t have to adopt every service to be considered smart, but they
can be linked by common infrastructure, data sets and technologies.
Mobile operators are able to focus on the infrastructure needed to
deliver the whole, or focus on individual services to ensure smart
cities roll out in the required way.
